Hamish Thompson
Working across feature film development and disability inclusion, Hamish Thompson is a leading advocate for disabled talent in the UK’s creative industries. Since joining the National Film and Television School as its Disability Advocate in 2023, he has helped drive a significant shift in how one of the world’s leading film schools supports disabled students and embeds access across its training, production processes and future facilities. His work has included developing accessible production practice, advising on inclusive approaches across the school, and helping in leading the fundraising and design work behind new accessible accommodation. For this work, he was nominated for a Scope Award in 2026.

Alongside his work at NFTS, Hamish advises Film4 Productions on incoming projects and disability representation across the slate. He is also an Ambassador for the British Polio Fellowship and serves on the board of Devon Film Office.
